FUTURE
"To infinity and beyond!"
What if you could live on the Moon?
It seems our exploration of the universe is getting greater with every second. Plans for a moon base are set for 2024, and a sustainable base by 2028. At this stage, humans could live, study, and grow on the moons surface. The possibilities a base are endless.
Want to go to Mars? The Moon may be vital to slingshot us there
Because the moon has gravity, it can be used to redirect a spacecraft's trajectory and increase it's speed using gravitational potential energy. This would save energy on outer space trips such as journeys to Mars and makes space travel cheaper.
First photo of a black hole! This could be the first of many if we put telescopes on the Moon
The first photo of a black hole was made by simulating an Earth-sized telescope with many smaller telescopes all over Earth. By placing another on the moon, this extends the virtual size of the telescope to the size of the moon's orbit.
